Over the last year or so, I have used Tumblr as my photo archive, to post some of my photos. I used it because it allowed me to post my pictures 1) where everyone could access them with or without logging into the site, 2) at a larger size than Instagram, and 3) where I didn’t have to censor what I believe are my tasteful art nude images. This month, Tumblr has decided to change their Terms of Service, which will essentially have the effect of purging all images that contain the slightest hint of nudity, making no distinctions between art and porn, or between exploitation and beauty.
As a consequence, I’ve been trying do decide where to move my archiving. I figured I can do it myself on my site since I don’t really expect massive traffic, or massive numbers of images. We’ll see how this goes, if I can find a good theme to use for my work.
